About the Event

Attached to this letter, you will find;

· An itinerary of activities (keep at home)

· List of necessary items (keep at home)

· A Behaviour Action Plan (to be signed and returned)

· Medical forms (to be signed and returned) including dietary requirements

Ern Halliday camp details;

 ·Students need to be at school between 8:15am – 8:30am on Monday 27th May. The bus will depart from school at 8:45am. Students will return to school on Wednesday in time for school buses.

· Staff attending are Mrs Morton and Ms Kapor.

· We will have the school mobile (0477 723 132) should you need to get in contact.

· The cost for the camp will be $305 and includes:

o Hiring the bus for transport to the city and pick up from Ern Halliday,

o Train and bus tickets on Monday for travelling from the city to Ern Halliday,

o All main meals and snacks (except lunch and recess on Monday 27th),

o Activities and accommodation,

o  Ancillary costs for all students,

o Food and accommodation for adults attending camp, and

o All costs involved in the Graduation Ceremony

· There are three options to pay for the camp.

Ø Option 1- Payment in full is due Monday 20thMay

Ø Option 2- 2 payments of $150, due by Monday 29thApril and $155 Monday 20th May

Ø Option 3- 3 payments of $100 due by Tuesday 16thApril, $100 due by Monday 29th April and $105 due by Monday 20thMay.

If your family will have difficulties paying, please contact the school prior to 12th May 2024.

Some important reminders;

· Unless you have contacted the school, the full cost of the excursion must be paid before Monday 20th May 2024.

· Students should be in full school uniform on the day we depart.

· Students will need to bring their morning tea and lunch on Monday 27th May.

· Please include a plastic shopping bag or a garbage bag for students to carry dirty or wet clothes.

· Medication should be in a zip-lock bag with their name on both the medication and the bag. This needs be handed to Mrs Morton on arrival to school on Monday 27th May.

· Remember to put liquids (shampoo/body wash/toothpaste etc) in zip-lock plastic bags in their main bag (not the hand luggage). We don’t want spillages through our clothes.

· We will be taking a camera to capture key moments, however students may bring a standard camera or a GO PRO.  The school does not take responsibility for personal equipment.

· NO MOBILE PHONES, iPads, iPods or any electronic devices are to be taken. These will be confiscated and returned to students when they return from camp. Parents can contact their child via the school mobile (which will be with the staff on camp) on 0477 723 132 or via the school on 9575 5300.

· Luggage size must be kept to a minimum. Students are only going for 3 days and 2 nights - not a week 😊

· Main meals (including morning and afternoon tea) will be provided but students may bring extra snacks (within reason).

· Students can wear free dress once we get to Ern Halliday.

· Students will need to wear closed in shoes for all activities but may bring slides/thongs to wear afterwards.

Suggestion: Some students have limited experience with being separated from their parents. It is important that parents contact Mrs Morton if they perceive there may be some issues. It is also valuable for parents to discuss with their child how to re-pack their bags to ensure everything fits and dirty clothes are kept separate. Please ensure all items are clearly labelled.

Spending money: As students will only have one opportunity to spend money, it is recommended that the students do not bring any more than $20 (students may wish to buy and ice-cream or drink at Bounce on Wednesday).
