SSWA Primary Interschool Triathlon

Students will be in mixed teams and have been placed into divisions at the discretion of Ms Devine and Mrs Morton. The distances required to complete the triathlon will be a 200m swim, 6km bike ride and a 2km run. There will be 3 students in a team with each student completing 1 leg of the triathlon.

As a result of the start time of the competition, students will not be able to arrive at school on the usual school bus run however, will be back at school in time to return home on the usual school bus run and for basketball games that evening. We will have a bus available for students who are unable to attend by car which will leave the school at 7.00am SHARP and will arrive back at school at approximately 2.45pm. This bus can unfortunately only fit 11 students so if you are able to go by car or help with transport, it would be much appreciated.

LUNCH: Please bring adequate liquids and your own water bottle. Students will also need to provide their own lunch. There will be a sausage sizzle running where bacon and egg burgers, a sausage sizzle, drinks and some sweet treats will be available.

DRESS: As students are representing the school, school uniform must be worn to and from the carnival.

TRANSPORT: Students will travel via bus or private transport

SUN PROTECTION: The weather is expected to be warm. It is recommended students bring their own protection from the sun- hats, sunscreen etc. There will be minimal shade so students should come prepared. We will have a school tent available for students.

SWIM LEG: Own swimwear can be worn. Swim cap will be provided.

BIKE LEG: Own bike and helmet required. Please find attached bike safety check and helmet fitting information.
