About the Event
Hosting Poetry in Action at our school provides students with a dynamic and engaging opportunity to experience literature beyond the classroom. The live performance brings prescribed and classic texts to life, deepening students’ understanding of poetic language, themes, and historical context.
Through performance, students develop:
A stronger appreciation for poetry as a spoken and performed art form
Enhanced comprehension of literary techniques such as imagery, tone, and symbolism
Improved critical thinking through interpretation of meaning and perspective
Greater confidence in their own speaking, listening, and analytical skills
