The Faction Swimming Carnival is a significant tradition in the history of Gingin DHS, providing students with the opportunity to compete at a higher level while fostering the development of their athletic abilities and communication skills through teamwork and faction camaraderie.

About the Event
The Gingin District High School Faction Swimming Carnival will be held at Gingin Aquatic Centre, Gingin on Friday 27th February 2026. The carnival will commence at 9:30am and will conclude at approximately 2:30pm.
It is strongly encouraged that all Primary students from Year 1 – 6 who can swim at least one lap (25m), generally stage 5 and above, in any or all strokes (freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke) support their Faction by nominating for either Division A OR B events in at least 1 or more of the available strokes. Parent/Guardian support may be necessary in completing the nomination form to indicate choices which reflect the interests & abilities of your child/children. Final approval of students participating in events who are BELOW STAGE 5 will be required by Karen Grant.
Secondary students wishing to attend Country Week in Term 3 must participate in the carnival as a swimmer OR helper. It…
